Aleksandar Poleksic, PhD

Poleksic is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Northern Iowa. Prof. Poleksic’s research focuses on understanding the mathematical and statistical laws that underpin biochemical processes in the context of a large biochemical network. Prior to coming to UNI, Prof. Poleksic was a Senior Scientist at Eidogen, Inc., where he was instrumental in the development of a novel informatics platform for rational drug discovery. Prior to that, he was at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York, where he worked on developing novel algorithms for protein sequence and structure analysis
